"I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation."

The study of Scripture and the Church's doctrine is fundamentally important for the nurturing of faith. Christ demonstrates that Baptism and lifelong study go hand in hand when He says to His apostles, "Going, therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to keep all things I have given you" (Mt. 28:19-20). Therefore, Calvary emphasizes the continued study of the Word of God - both as heads of house lead the study at home, and as we gather to study the Scriptures at church. Just as all are invited to attend the Divine Service, so also we welcome all to study with us the Word of God.
